Dressing the Bump - Seeing Another Baby

Blazer - Loft, Sweater, jeans, & necklace - F21, Boots - Nine West

This is what I wore to meet my childhood BFF's new son Caleb at the hospital. How lucky are we that our sons will grow up together and hopefully be BFFs as well?!

I was hoping my baby would get jealous of me holding a perfect, tiny, snuggly little baby and decide to come out too. Guess he's not the jealous type.

Dressing the Bump - Mixing it with Scarves

Chambray shirt, Leggings, Scarf, & Earrings - F21, Boots - Target, Belt - NY&Co, Tank - Liz Lange Maternity

With 4 days until my due date, there really isn't much I can wear. Even my maternity shirts barely cover this watermelon I'm carrying around. So my basic outfit is now leggings, top, throw on a scarf to mix it up.

I'm ready to not be pregnant anymore. I'm not ready to be a mom.

Dressing the Bump - Friday Night Drinks... Ginger ale counts as a drink, right?

Jean jacket - Old Navy, Dress - H&M, Scarf, tights, boots - F21, Glasses - Derick Cardigan (via coastal.com)

We met up with our friends for drinks in Hoboken at a bar this past Friday and it's quite funny how many horrified looks I got... b/c WHO would let a woman due in 11 days into a establishment with alcohol?! How inappropriate! *eye roll*

To make matters worse... I did the Dougie. And no, my baby didn't just fall out of my vagina with all that hip movement. Sadly, lol.

It amazes me how people treat pregnant women so strangely. It's like all of a sudden strangers think they can touch you, ask you personal questions, give you unsolicited advice, and treat you like you're diseased in some way. It's really just a better idea to shut your piehole.

Dressing the Bump - Birthday Dinner for Gramps

Jacket - Target (old), Dress - F21, Boots - Target, Tights - F21, Belt - NY&Co, Lipstick - Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Cruella

My dad's birthday was on Wednesday and we went out to celebrate with dinner at Sofra (the yummy Turkish restaurant where we had my shower).

Not to be biased or anything but my dad is quite handsome and fun and I would never peg him as a "grandpa" but he's going to be an amazing one, just like he's an amazing dad.

Happy birthday, Daddy! We love you so much!

Dressing the Bump - Sunday Funday @ the Movies

Blazer & Tshirt - H&M, Jeans, oxfords, necklace & bracelets - F21, Watch - Target

Serg and I have been filling our weekends with things we probably won't get a chance to do for a while once the baby gets here, like going to the movies. This past Sunday we went to see Oz the Great and Powerful. So, so, so, SO not worth it. To call it a disappointment is an understatement. But on the plus side, Serg bought me an almond pretzel from Auntie Anne's. The man knows the way to my heart.

Baby Boy's Nursery!

 View from the door

BabyMod Crib from Walmart (found here) and wall decal I put together (post here)

IKEA frames & prints I put together on Microsoft Word (post here)

Gray tear-drop print crib skirt was made with love by my mom :) and I made the fitted sheet using this tutorial (here)

Rocker & storage bench from IKEA, chevron baby blanket from Target
My mom also sewed the curtains with the same material as the crib skirt and made the storage bench cushion (gray material has white polka dots and mint fabric has little circles)

Changing table is an IKEA Expedit console with feet, blue storage containers from Target, paper lanterns purchased at the Paper Lantern Store (here)

These adorable knobs were purchased at Anthropologie, I'm kind of obsessed with them :)

Closet organization is a mix of IKEA, Closetmaid, and Target pieces

Now all we need is a baby. This waiting game is NO FUN, lol.

Dressing the Bump - Comfy/Cozy

Maternity Tunic - Shade Clothing, Leggings - Target, Sneakers - Converse, Scarf - F21

We're expecting about 6 inches of snow between today and Friday. This kind of weather calls for leggings. And movies on the couch with my dog. :)

Dressing the Bump - Pumps, Bump, & Hot Pink Lips

Blazer - H&M, Tank - F21, Jeans - F21, Shoes - Moda Spana, Necklace - F21

Serg and I had another dinner date with friends on Saturday night and I decided I'd be brave and throw on my much loved black suede pumps. As soon as I put them on, they felt funny... and I started to panic. I had made it this far into my pregnancy without any horrifying symptoms (and by horrifying, I mean stretch marks, bigger feet, hemorrhoids, swollen fingers, lol, you know, all that vain stuff) and NOW, 3 weeks away from my due date, MY SHOES DON'T FIT?!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT?!!!!!!!!!!! I swear, I was ready to run (or hobble, whatever) down the stairs yelling and crying, "You need to replace ALL THE SHOES!" at Serg, when I looked down and saw that I had put my beautiful shoes on the wrong feet.

Crisis averted?

Dressing the Bump - Professionally

Blazer - F21, Top - Romeo & Juliet, (cami worn underneath), Maternity Leggings - Nom, Boots - Enzo

My plan is to work until the spawn decides to leave his warm hiding place in my ute. I'm not very good at sitting around waiting for something to happen and Liberty Mutual assured me I can call them on the way to the hospital and say "hi, my last day is right now" and start my short term leave. This is my plan for now. As in, right this minute. Because as soon as work starts stressing me out, I start thinking that maybe sitting around on my butt with my feet propped up eating bonbons for two weeks prebaby might not be so bad.

But for now, I'm working. Which often requires me to get dressed and look somewhat professional. Luckily my 3948390842 blazers still fit. I've come to realize that throwing one on despite wearing leggings does make for a presentable 9 month belly.
